Pokemon GO will get new costumes, themed avatars and more in the New Year 2022 event

From Friday, December 31, 2021, 10:00 PM, until January 4, 2022, 8:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will celebrate the New Year. Trainers will collaborate with Team Leader Spark to celebrate the Season of Heritage with exclusive in-game bonuses, dressed Pokémon, themed activities, and more during this event. 

 

Furthermore, this event will feature Pokémon dressed in new outfits, themed avatar goods, the return of certain familiar Pokémon donning party hats, and the debut of a new Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO.

 

The Heritage Story Season continues with Fireworks

Spark has decided to hold a party to celebrate and ring in the New Year after the present exchange! The Pokémon's are attracted by the festivities and in the celebrations. He's already figured out the first half of the locking mechanism, releasing a slew of Dragon-type Pokémon into the wild, but there are two more parts to figure out.

 

Additionally, from Friday, December 31, 2021, at 11:00 PM local time, through Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 12:00 AM local time, fireworks will appear in Pokémon GO to assist ring in the new year. Event perks such as 2x Hatch Stardust, 2x Hatch Candy, and 1/2 Hatch Distance will be active here as well. In addition, players will be able to take part in the New Year's Timed Research, where they will be able to find a variety of Pokémon dressed up in adorable costumes.
