Fate/Grand Order Ordeal Call I Challenge Stages - Everything You Need To Know

Ordeal Call I - Paper Moon is a special story chapter in Fate/Grand Order and will be the start of the players’ journey into the various different Ordeal Call scenarios to deal with different types of extra class servants and challenge some of the game’s most annoying and gimmicky boss fights.

For Ordeal Call I - Paper Moon, there are a total of 3 boss fights that may prove extremely challenging for players if you go in unprepared, with each fights having different types of gimmicks and requirements that you need to overcome in order to defeat the enemies:

Ordeal Call I - Section 10 Arrow 2 - Rider Boss

The first of the challenging fights players will encounter in Ordeal Call I is the Boss Fight in the chapter’s section 10, arrow 2, containing the single Rider Class enemy. The boss players will face in this node will be Lanling Wang in his Rider class form.

Fate Grand Order Ordeal Call I 2

The main thing players need to pay attention to in this fight is that Lanling Wang will have a permanent Critical Chance Up buff for the entirety of the fight, meaning that if you let him get his attacks off, he will likely critically hit your team to death. Additionally, he also has a permanent mental debuff immunity buff, preventing him from being stunned, sleep or charmed. Lanling Wang will have a total of 3 HP bars (at 600k, 400k and 600k HP respectively).

Upon breaking his first bar, he will gain permanent critical damage and defense up, making him deal even more damage if he crits and make it so that he will last longer. Upon breaking his 2nd HP Bar, he will gain permanent attack up and defense ignore buff, allowing him to deal even more damage.

His Special attack will be his EX attack, which will be used after he fills up his charge gauge.

Ordeal Call I - Section 12 Arrow 1 - Saber Boss

The second hard fight players need to face in Ordeal Call I will come shortly after the 1st difficult challenge fight in the Section 12 Arrow 1 of the chapter, containing a Saber boss and a Rider Enemy. The boss players will face in this fight is Saber Medusa.

Saber Medusa will have a total of 3 HP bars at 230k, 250k and 290k HP respectively, which is relatively low in of HP, but she comes with a variety of annoying gimmicks.

Fate Grand Order Ordeal Call I 3

For once, at the start of the battle, Medusa will summon a 130k HP Cerberus on the field and grant herself a 2 times Invulnerability buff. Medusa herself will be granted a permanent Attack and Defense buff as well as a buff that allows her to remove your servants’ defensive buffs whenever she attacks. The Cerberus will also have a permanent buff that reduces your servant’s NP gauge whenever it attacks.

Upon breaking her first bar, Medusa will fully charge her NP Gauge and use her Noble Phantasm against an enemy. And upon breaking her second HP bar, Medusa will grant herself debuff immunity buff and massively increase her chance of instant killing any servants that are inflicted with the Stunned status.

Ordeal Call I - Grand Battle - Alter Ego Boss

Finally, the last and most difficult fight in this Ordeal Call that players will need to overcome is the final Grand Battle of the Ordeal Call - Section 15 Arrow 6 - The Grand Battle. The opponent you will face is an Alter Ego - Kali

Kali is a boss with 4 HP Bars, at 260k, 300k, 330k and 410k HP respectively, with buffs being granted to her after breaking any HP bar. Kali will have a 20k Heal per turn buff, a permanent NP Damage up buff at the end of each turn, and a 5 hits barrier buff that prevents all damage at the start of the battle, so players need to pay attention to them.

Fate Grand Order Ordeal Call I 4

Upon breaking her first bar, Kali will remove all debuffs on herself and deal extra damage against servants with Divine and Demonic Traits. Upon her 2nd HP bar break, Kali will remove all of her debuffs again and gain 1 NP gauge everytime she defeats one of your servants.

Importantly: In this fight, you will be forced to bring a Kama and won’t be able to bring friend , so you will need to plan your team carefully. The Kama will have a permanent HP up buff, attack and defense up buffs that increases in value the more Burn she has and a permanent burn status on herself at the end of every turn.

Fate/Grand Order Ordeal Call I Challenge Stages - Best Teams & Servants To Beat Them

With the mechanics of each stage explained, there are certain best servants that players can use to clear these fights. And for new players who want to best obtain all of these best servants for quick progression, you should try and reroll for these amazing servants with the help of LDPlayer’s the best Android Emulator on PC.

Ordeal Call I - Section 10 Arrow 2 - Best Servants

As Lanling Wang in this form is a Rider, the general best thing player can do is bring strong Single Target Assassin servants with powerful damaging capabilities. Bringing Berserker to this stage is also okay but players will need to be careful of Lanling Wang’s strong attacks.

Some of the best servants to bring into this fight are:

- Bazett: The best counter for this fight as all of Lanling Wang’s attacks are Single target, Bazett with her taunt and counter mechanic as well as her Alter Ego class will completely destroy Lanling Wang when he attacks her. Players can borrow a Bazett from friends and buff her up with various buffers to maximize this strategy.

Fate Grand Order Ordeal Call I 5

- Draco: Draco will perform relatively well in this fight thanks to her strong damage against enemies of the 7 normal class and her damage increase against Servants. Additionally, her strong defensive kit will help her survive relatively well against the boss attacks, making her a very good choice for this fight.

Fate Grand Order Ordeal Call I 6

Ordeal Call I - Section 12 Arrow 1 - Best Servants

In this fight, players’ main concern will be Saber Medusa’s ability to remove defensive buffs before attacking, meaning that if she targets anyone with her Noble Phantasm, that ally is just dead. Therefore, players need to bring multiple good back up DPS servants just in case she takes out your best DPS option. Additionally, taking care of the Cerberus as soon as possible is necessary as all of its attacks are AOE.

Some of the best servants to bring into this fight are:

- Summer Musashi/ Summer Ibuki: Summer Musashi and Summer Ibuki’s AoE NP damage can be strong enough to kill the Cerberus and still do massive amounts of damage to Saber Medusa, allowing you to take care of Cerberus right away while also leaving room for strong damage output potential against the boss.

Fate Grand Order Ordeal Call I 7

- Oda Nobunaga/Napoleon: Both Oda Nobunaga and Napoleon are archer class servants that punish servants with Divinity, extremely suitable to fight against Saber Medusa with her divinity trait.

Ordeal Call I - Grand Battle - Best Servants

For the Grand Battle, the best way players can clear this fight quickly is actually to make full use of the NPC Kama the provides to you, as not only does she deal super effective damage against Alter Ego class enemies, she also gain extremely high attack adn defensive buffs, allowing her to deal with the boss relatively well.

Fate Grand Order Ordeal Call I 9

The only thing players should worry about is buffing her damage output with servants as well as keeping her alive with these servants as you can’t borrow a friend’s servant:

- Caster Artoria/ Summer Skadi/ Skadi: These s are the best s to both boost the strength of the Kama and keep her alive with various survival buffs like Damage Mitigation and Evasion.
