Table of Content
Grand Crown Battle
The Grand Crown Battle consists of the following key elements:
Unlocking Grand Qualification
Players must clear the first quest of the Grand Crown Battle to unlock the 'Grand Selection' phase, which allows them to select their Grand Servant. Afterward, you will also receive 5 items to reselect your Grand Servant.
Grand Servant Selection
Selecting a Grand Servant has two requirements:
- the Servant must be Level 100
- their skills must be 10/10/10.
After selecting your Grand Servant, you can equip them with three Craft Essences within the Grand Programming menu.
Grand Constellation Atlas (Talent Tree)
This update introduces the Grand Constellation Atlas, a talent tree exclusive to Grand Servants. Upgrading the Grand Constellation Atlas requires new materials obtained by farming the Grand Study Battle quest.
Grand Study Battle
This is a repeatable quest (Farming Node). Each attempt consumes 1 Tempest Can and 40 AP. However, during the event's first week (May 21st - May 28th), Tempest Can consumption is waived. Players should seize this opportunity.
BOSS
The quest features Miyamoto Musashi as the enemy. Difficulty is divided into 7 levels (from Level 100 to Level 100★★★).
You must clear the previous difficulty to unlock the next one.
Clearing quests rewards "Stellar Crown Crystals". Accumulating a certain amount unlocks the Grand Ascension Battle. Additionally, each difficulty level drops abundant materials, QP, and offers high base Bond Points.
Grand Ascension Battle
Unlock Condition: Unlock 12 constellations in the Grand Constellation Atlas for the Saber class. This battle requires defeating the powerful Grand Servant Miyamoto Musashi. Victory rewards the special Craft Essence "The One Who Stands at the Peak of Swordsmanship" (Increases Master EXP gained by 20% when equipped to a Saber-class Servant) and 1 Holy Grail Crystal.
Grand Crown Battle Strategy Guide
Grand Qualification Battle
This quest's difficulty is relatively low. A standard-level Saber team should suffice. Focus on effectively combining Servant skills and Noble Phantasm timing to ensure party survival while efficiently defeating the enemy.
Grand Study Battle
- Mandatory Single-Target (ST) Damage
The enemy is a single Musashi. Therefore, regardless of your Servant choice, ST damage dealers will typically far outperform AoE (Area of Effect) Servants.
- Optimal Damage Craft Essence
Prioritize equipping damage-boosting Craft Essences. Black Grail must be equipped instead of Kaleidoscope. The effect of Bond Craft Essences (which can provide 50% Starting NP) is recommended. Utilizing a Bond CE's 50% Starting NP combined with NP Charge ives allows easy Noble Phantasm activation on Turn 1.
Why not Kaleidoscope?
Kaleidoscope offers a minimal damage boost compared to Black Grail, which provides a significant 80% NP damage increase and higher ATK stats for a faster clear.
- Target the Highest Sustainable Difficulty
Prioritize attempting the highest difficulty level your team can clear consistently. If the highest difficulty is unattainable, lower difficulties are still worthwhile, offering substantial rewards. While base rewards are slightly less at lower levels, the boss's reduced HP may allow you to clear in 1 Turn (1T) instead of 2 Turns (2T), improving time efficiency.
- Carefully Select Servants
If possible, choose a ST Servant, especially powerful ST Sabers like Ibuki-Douji (Saber) or Musashi (Saber) who can exploit advantageous traits. If your own setup is lacking, a strong Servant can significantly boost your combat capability. Do not select your carelessly.
Servant Selection
ST Servants
Highly recommended ST Servants include Ibuki-Douji (Saber), who can trigger humanoid trait bonuses and provide party-wide buffs. Other strong picks are Siegfried, Yagyu Munenori, Beni-enma, and Miyamoto Musashi (Saber).
- Siegfried: Lacks specific traits but benefits significantly from ive ATK buffs, making his damage top-tier.
- Saber: Can trigger Humanoid trait bonus damage plus party-wide ATK buffs. Excellent choice for dual-Noble Phantasm strategies.
- Yagyu Munenori: Relies on his NP Upgrade and ive ATK buffs for strong damage.
- Beni-enma: Excels at defense down and multi-core potential.
Servants
Include Servants with capabilities. Lan Ling Wang is the top choice, providing 20% Party-wide ATK Up, 20% Party-wide Arts Up, and a 30% Targeted NP Charge + Damage Up. Other viable options include the Trung Sisters, Gaius Julius Caesar, Dioscuri, and Beni-enma.
Craft Essence Setup
The Grand Servant can equip three Craft Essences: one Any Slot, one Bond Slot, and one Da Vinci's Workshop Slot.
For maximum Bond Point efficiency, you could equip the Grand Servant with two Bond Point CEs, but this sacrifices combat power. This choice depends on your team's strength and whether you can borrow a powerful Servant.
Generally, the best setup has the third slot equipped with a Bond Point CE like "Chaldea Tea Time," "A Prayer to the Gods of Order (Good)," or "Spiritron Dress Portrait." Overall CE composition should focus on Bond Point gain: prioritize Tea Time, Spiritron Dress Portrait, and A Prayer to the Gods of Order (Good), supplemented with two other 5% Bond Point CEs.
